Renaming Cameras - How to Change The Name of a Camera

How to change camera settings:

There are several ways to achieve this result, and depending on which equipment you're working with, the methods might slightly differ. 

(Please Note: If you're using a 3rd-party camera, and not an IC Realtime camera, the NVR will more than likely not be able to assign a name to the camera.) 

NVR 4.0 UI

If you're working with the new 4.0 UI directly on the recorder or through the recorder's web UI, you will want to navigate in this order:

1. Left click on Advanced Settings.
   
2. Now, left click on Camera Configuration.
   
3. Now, you will want to left click on Cam Name
   
   - There is a possibility you may not see this option depending on what firmware you are running, if you do not, check instead for Video Stream or Encode, and then, the Overlay/OSD settings.

NVR 3.0 UI

If you're working with the new 3.0 UI directly on the recorder or through the recorder's web UI, you will want to navigate in this order:

1. Left click on Image.
   
2. Now, left click on Cam Name.
   
3. Select the text field for the channel you wish to name and insert the desired name.
   
4. Make sure to not forget to hit OK to save your changes.
