How to Add New Cameras to an Older NVR

Adding new cameras to an older NVR requires a few extra steps:

1. Get connected to the camera directly over a switch or a crossover patch cable.

2. Initialize the camera using a web browser through the camera's web UI or the Config Tool on a PC or Mac: Initializing IP Camera

3. Plug the camera back into the NVR.

4. When the local monitor of the NVR states "Invalid Username or Password" or "Account Has Been Locked," go to Settings > Camera Registration > and locate the added camera.

5. Click the pencil icon button to edit the connection details.

6. Modify the password to reflect the one you setup initially with the camera and click Save.

7. The camera will then show a green status light.
