Online Updating IP Cameras

Introduction

Online updates are available for select current IC Realtime IP camera models (more models to follow int he future). Please note that when performing an update, do not unplug/ disconnect any camera undergoing a firmware update.

Instructions

Web UI Updating (Directly to IPC)

These instructions cover updating a camera by logging into its web UI directly using its IP address. This setup assumes the IP camera has already been initialized and connected to a network accessible using a PC.

1.  Log in to the IP camera using a web browser.
   
2. Click the Gear Wheel Icon on the top right side ().
   *For Web UI 2.0 cameras, click on the Setting tab. 
3. Click on Maintenance Center > Update
   
   *For Web UI 2.0 cameras, click on System > Upgrade
   
   
4.  Under the Update/ Upgrade Menu, click on Manual Check.
   If the IP Camera is on an approved release firmware, any new firmware will be displayed.
   
   Click  to perform the firmware update. The update may take a few minutes, and the camera will reboot once completed.
   

NVR UI Updating

These instructions cover updating IC Realtime cameras added to an NVR or plugged into the NVR PoE.

1.  Log in to the NVR using a web browser or local Interface.
   
2. Navigate from the Main Menu to Advanced Settings > Camera Configuration> Add/ Remove Device
3. Click the Update tab 
   
4. Click Check under Update 
   
5. If an update is available, the Check button will change to Update. Click Update.
   The Update window will appear. 
6. Click Update to start the online update.
   
7. The status will show the cameras updating.
   
   When finished, the status should indicate "Update Succeeded."
