Sharing devices in ICRSS Pro with a Device Card

Any user that has ICRSS Pro or IC View on their phone or tablet may create a Device Card to share their recorders with other users. A Device Card will work with either app, and will also work for with either Android or iOS devices.

• Start by accessing the Device Manager on the phone or tablet that has the device(s) you wish to share. Tap on the Home icon in the upper left corner. From the Home screen, look for the Device icon down at the bottom of the screen. 
• In the Device Manager screen, find the Device Card icon and tap it.

• On the Select Device screen, tap the names of the devices you wish to share. You must pick at least one device to share. 

• Select the device(s) you wish to share. Once they have all been selected, tap the Create Device Card button. A message will pop up asking if you wish to create a password for sharing. If you opt for password protection, the people adding the devices with your card must enter the correct password when uploading your device card.

• If you opt for password protection on your device card, the Password Setting screen will pop up. Your password must be between 8-32 characters in length, and must have a combination of letters and numbers (NO SPECIAL CHARACTERS!). The password is case-sensitive. Once you enter your password, tap the Unmask Password icon to ensure the password was entered as intended. If you choose not to use the passwords, skip ahead to the next step.

• Your device will display the QR code for your Device Card. Click the Export icon in the upper right to save the code to your phone's Photos. If done correctly, you will see a message stating the code was saved to your system album. 

• You are done creating the Device Card on your phone now. To share it, you may send the QR code using a text message or email from your device. The next steps will need to be performed on the phone(s) of the people with whom your are sharing your devices.
• On the phone that needs to add your cameras, open the app and go to the Device Manager. Tap the Add Device icon . Select the P2P/SN option.

• On the Add Device screen, tap the Photos icon to select the QR code generated in the previous steps. Your phone will automatically open your Photo album. Select the appropriate QR code, and tap the Choose button.

• If you opted to use password protection on your card, you will now be prompted to enter the password you set when creating the Device Card. Enter the correct password, then tap the OK button. If done correctly, your phone will go back to the Device Manager screen, and you will see your devices listed.
