Introduction
The NVR-8256DR-V2 supports IVS/ AI by camera only. This setup assumes you have already initialized and added AI enabled cameras to the NVR-8256DR-V2.
Configuration
The event configuration can be accessed via Local UI, NVRSS-Pro or Web UI. We recommend using Local UI or NVRSS-Pro since the web UI requires web plugins to function properly.
- Login to the NVR-8256DR-V2 using Local UI or NVRSS-Pro.
- Click the Gear Wheel Icon on the top right side
to open the Configuration Menu. In the Configuration menu, click on Event.
- Under Event, an Overview will be displayed (Click on IVSS > Overview > Overview to view this) showing the connected channels and events that are configured on them.
- To configure events, click on a channel/ camera form the device tree on the left
Once you click on a device, the events will be listed under the AI Application or Video Detect and you can also configure other events such as Device Offline and External Alarm as well.
Enabled events will have a green dot to the right. - Click to toggle Enable (
) to enable the event.
Event setup will be similar to our other IC Realtime devices. - Once the rule/ event is set up, you can configure the actions below. Click
to open a list of actionable options:
Clickon the bottom left side when finished to save.
- Once you have configured the events, the Storage Schedule should be set up to record the events. On the Configuration Menu (
), select Storage.
Under Video Recording, click on Schedule. - A recording overview will be displayed. Under Record Events, either enable the checkbox on top of the column to enable all channels for Event Recording or select the check box next to the appropriate channel as needed.
Click
on the bottom left side when finished to save.
