The Dinger Doorstation was formerly called the IPMX-DB20-IRW1 or IPMX-DB20-IRB1. All content in this guide will apply to both the Dinger Doorstation and products with the IPMX-DB20-IRW(B)1 part names.
Introduction
You can initialize the Door Station/ IPMX-DB20 powered via PoE with the IC View Pro App or using a PC on the same local network.
IC View Pro Initialization Instructions
This setup assumes the Dinger Doorstation is powered on via PoE, and your Mobile Device with the app is on the same local network as the doorbell.
- Open the IC View Pro App. and on the Home section, tap the "+' on the upper right side.
- Scan the QR code on the back of the Dinger Pro using the app.
- Under Add Device, select VTO
- In the "Failed to Connect to the device" section, tap on "Select Network Config Method."
then select "Wired" then tap "Next." - Make sure your phone is on the same network as the doorbell, then tap "Next"
- Create a password for the doorbell and retype it to confirm. Input an email address to receive lost password support. Tap "Next" when finished. The Doorbell will take a few moments to initialize.
- Select Cloud Access and Autocheck (for P2P remote access and Automatic firmware updates, respectively). Tap on "Confirm" to proceed.
- Create a name for the Doorbell, then tap Save to finish.
Web UI Initialization Instructions
- Power on the Doorbell via PoE.
- Using a web browser, go to IP address of the Doorbell. You can use the Configtool software here to search the local network for the IP. *Make sure that the IP address of your PC is on the same network segment as the doorbell.
- On the Device Initialization page, Select the Language, enter and confirm the password, and then click Next.
*The password must consist of 8–32 non-blank characters and contain at least two types of the following characters: Uppercase, lowercase, numbers, and special characters (excluding ' " ; : &). - You will have the option to select Auto-Check for firmware updates and enable P2P.
Click Completed to finish. It will redirect to the login page. - Enter the username (admin by default) and password to log in to the webpage.
- You can change/ set a different static IP by going to Main Menu > Network Settings> TCP/IP.
We recommend setting the device to static.
- Video/Encode Settings can be configured under Main Menu> Device Setting > Video.
- Video/Encode Settings can be configured under Main Menu> Device Setting > Video.
