IC View Pro - Exporting Footage

This guide explains how to back up footage in the IC View Pro app and how to access it after it’s been downloaded. If you need help navigating the playback menu, see the link in the first section.

Exporting Footage

IC View Pro allows you to export recorded footage directly from the app. This can be used to quickly grab a clip when a computer isn’t available. The steps below assume the device has already been added to IC View Pro and is configured to record. See IC View Pro - Playback if you need help navigating the playback menu.

1. Open the Playback menu for the camera you're trying to export footage on. See this guide on how to access the Playback menu and navigate the timeline if you're unfamiliar with the menu.
2. Tap the Export Footage icon that looks like a pair of scissors to open the export menu. The above guide shows this icon as #10.
3. Drag the timeline to the desired start time and press the Play button. Shown as #1 in the Image 1 - Export Menu. A red bar will mark the start time. 

4. Drag the timeline to the desired end time and press the Stop button. Shown as #2 in the Image 1 - Export Menu. Upon pressing the stop button, you will be prompted to download the footage.

Reviewing Downloaded Files

When you save footage in IC View Pro, the clip is only stored within the app itself. To make the file available outside the app, for example saving it to your phone’s gallery or sharing it with someone else, you’ll need to export it. Exporting creates a copy of the recording that can be accessed, transferred, or sent through other apps on your device.

1. Select Config from the home screen, shown as #1 in Image 2 - Config Menu
2. Select My Files to access backed up recordings

3. Long press and hold on a single file or use the multi select tool in the top right. Shown as #1 in Image 3 - My Files Menu

4. Click the Share or Save icon. Selecting share will show available apps to share through. Save will export the footage directly to your phone's onboard storage. Shown as #2 and #3 respectively in Images 3 - My Files Menu.

5. Optional - You can delete the images from your storage device by tapping the trash can. Shown as #4 in Image 3 - My Files Menu. This will only remove it from the phone. The file will still be accessible on the video recorder or camera.
