Change Channel Name

Changing channel names can be accomplished a few different ways. Most of it is best done at the recorder level but it can be done on our SmartICRSS Desktop Software if the device supports it.

These settings in the recorder can be accessed by going to:

• Advanced Settings -> Camera Configuration -> Video Stream -> Overlay

-OR- (if equipped)

• Advanced Settings -> Camera Configuration -> Camera Name

Enter the desired name into the indicated text fields and click "OK" in the bottom right corner to apply the changes. If it is a IC Realtime camera and Recorder configured in the optimal way the settings will apply to the camera.

To do this from the desktop software go to the "Live View" section and right click on the camera. There will be an option in the menu to "Modify Channel Name". This method works on most modern devices and NVR systems configured correctly with IC Realtime Devices.
