Replacing a CMOS Battery
The type of the CMOS battery depends on the unit. The easiest way to verify this is by opening up the recorder for a visual inspection. Some batteries can be replaced by hand while others are soldered onto the motherboard. In the case of soldering, we recommend calling our tech support line or email us in order to set up an RMA so the replacement process can be taken care of in-house. As warranty may be voided due to damage of the machine, replacements of soldered on CMOS batteries should only be handled by professionals.
If you are off-site and unable to physically access the recorder, you can call our tech support line or email us and we can set up an RMA to verify the correct part number.
To set up an RMA for a CMOS battery replacement or specification check, our tech support line can be reached @ 866-997-9009, or email, tech@icrealtime.com. Please have the Serial Number of the recorder available.
