Introduction
By creating an event alarm this will allow IC Now Pro client to alert the user(s) of specific events such as intelligent motion detection of a human or vehicle, tripwire crossing, perimeter intrusion, camera tampering, storage disk issues, etc.
Creating the event alarm
- From the IC Now Pro desktop client homepage, select the "Configuration" (wrench) icon located on the left side menu
- Under the "App Config" section click on the EVENT icon
- Select the "Event Config" category on the left
- Click the ADD button under "Event Config" section
Configuring the alarm
- Choose the "Event Source Type" e.g. "Device" for instances of a storage disk issue in a recorder or "Video Channel" for intelligent events, video loss / tampering, face detection, etc.
- Set the desired "Event"
- Choose the "Event source" to be monitored e.g. recorder or IPC channel.
- Input the name of the event in the "Scheme Name" field, set the priority, choose the appropriate "Time Template" for the alarm to be active
- Enable to the "Alarm Storm Config" option if you want to limit how often the alarm alerts the user within a set period of time
- "Linked Action" allows to specify what the event triggers within IC Now Pro e.g. displaying live video from the event source, trigger a snapshot to be saved the IC Now Pro storage, send an email, trigger an audible alert on the IC Now Pro desktop client, etc.
- "Alarm Protocol" determines how the alarm is processed. You may choose the default template or create a new one
- "Notify User" allows for an individual user or a group of users to be notified of the event in real time. At least one individual user must be selected to be allowed to save the alarm event
- Click the OK button at the bottom to save the event alarm
