IC Secure Mobile can show supported alarm notifications when alarms are enabled in the app and notifications are allowed on the mobile device.
Notification availability depends on the IC Secure server, camera configuration, alarm settings, user permissions, and mobile device notification settings.
Requirements
- The camera or server must support the alarm events being used.
- Alarm events must be configured for the system.
- The mobile device must allow notifications from IC Secure Mobile.
- The user account must have permission to view the cameras or alarms being monitored.
Opening Alarm Management
To open Alarm Management:
- Open the server or camera in Liveview.
- Tap the three-dot menu in the top-right corner.
- Tap Alarm Management.
The Alarm Management screen opens.
Enabling Alarms
Use the ENABLE ALARMS section to control alarm notifications in IC Secure Mobile.
To enable alarms:
- Open Alarm Management.
- Turn on Enable all, or enable the available alarm options needed for the system.
After alarms are enabled, IC Secure Mobile can show supported alarm activity when the system reports an event.
Viewing Alarm Activity
Alarm activity can be reviewed from the alarm list.
To open the alarm list:
- Open the server or camera in Liveview.
- Tap the three-dot menu in the top-right corner.
- Tap Alarm List.
The Alarm List screen opens and displays available alarm activity.
Mobile Device Notification Settings
If alarms are enabled in IC Secure Mobile but notifications do not appear, check the mobile device notification settings.
Make sure notifications are allowed for IC Secure Mobile in the phone or tablet system settings. Notification behavior may vary depending on the mobile device, operating system, focus mode, do not disturb settings, and app permissions.
Troubleshooting
If alarm notifications are not working, check the following items.
