Hybrid recorders have the ability to handle both coax camera signals and IP camera configurations. However, there is a little extra setup that is required. That setup is the channel types.
This can be configured on both the recorders Web GUI or the recorders internal settings.
Channel Types can be configured in Advanced Settings -> Camera Configuration -> Channel Type.

In this screenshot we can see the channel numbers and what types have been selected.
- Channel 1 has been set to AUTO to determine which coax signal type is best. If you have 3rd party cameras adjust this setting accordingly to the camera's preferred coax signal.
- Take note: If you have multiple coax cameras they have to be assigned to the first channels (Top of the list down). IP cameras will start from the bottom up.
- Once you have the amount of coax and IP cameras assigned, the recorder will prompt for a reboot to save the changes.
- Another note: Depending on the amount of IP cameras you add, for instance, if you add channels 17 - 32 from the screenshot as IP cameras, you will get a warning:
This warning refers to all AI functionality. (Tripwires, iMD, etc.)
- You can now add the IP channels per the usual method: How To Add IP Cameras.
