If for any reason an IP address needs to be changed there are different options available.
Static IP Vs. Dynamic IP
Before we explain how to change IP's we have to know the difference between a Static IP is and a Dynamic IP.
- Static IP's will never change their IP address. Once it is set, the device will retain that address until it is changed or factory reset.
- Commonly used in closed camera networks behind a NVR recorder but not exclusively used in this way.
- It is a great way to manage multiple devices. However, it is susceptible to IP conflicts if two devices have the same address.
- Dynamic/DHCP IP's rely on a DHCP server to manage the address. DHCP's are commonly found in network routers, and the built-in POE on the back of most recorders.
- Cameras must be set to dynamic if they are plugged into the back built-in POE.

The config tool automagically scans the network to find connected devices on the same network as the computer.
NVR's and IP Cameras will populate in this list
Before we can make any changes to these connected devices we first have to click on "Search Setting"
Enter in the IP range you would like to scan. If you cant find what you are looking for check the box "Other Segment Search" for it to scan more parts of the network.
Enter the known Username and Password of the devices and click "OK"
Next find the device you want to edit and click "Edit"
This window will display after clicking "Edit". Make the desired changes you want to make and click "OK"
For this article I will demonstrate changing a camera from IP 192.168.69.183 to x.x.x.184
After clicking "OK" it will attempt to make changes.
A successful edit will look like this and will be represented by a
If you encounter a icon you can click it to troubleshoot the issue.

Batch Modify
If you have multiple cameras that all need to be adjusted we can select multiple cameras in the list by clicking the checkmarks
Click on the Batch Modify IP
You will be greeted by a similar window from before, only the IP address you enter will be the starting IP.
Please take note: If you check the box "Same IP" this will copy the entered IP address to all your selected cameras.
A successful batch edit will display green checkmarks across all devices.

Please make sure to always verify if it works by refreshing the search results.
Rescanning the devices shows that 3 out of the 5 cameras took the batch modify. For pesky cameras that don't work with the config tool, use the camera's web menu to make adjustments.
