Introduction
The IC Now Pro platform supports multiple types of software / hardware deployment options. These include standalone deployment, multi-site deployment, distributed deployment, dynamic replacement, and "Active-Passive" redundancy.
Standalone deployment
For smaller scale deployments with a small number of devices and no redundancy is required. A single IC Now Pro server would be recommended. This type of deployment would support up to 2,000 devices using the recommended server specifications.
Multi-site deployment
If you have multiple sites with individual IC Now Pro servers, you can connect one or more of servers to your "management" IC Now Pro server to directly access their resources. This includes viewing real-time video streams, searching and viewing live or historical events, and downloading recorded video. A multi-site deployment will support up to 100 unique sites.
Distributed Deployment
Suitable for medium to large projects, sub-servers distribute the system load, allowing more device connections. They register with the main server, which centrally manages them. This type of deployment would support up to 10 total servers with a maximum of 10,000 devices / 20,000 video channels with each server meeting or exceeding the recommended server specifications.
Hot Standby
Designed for systems requiring high availability, the standby server takes over if the active server fails (e.g., due to power loss or network disconnection). Control will revert to the original server once it recovers.
N + M
Each server has a standby to ensure high availability & stability. If a server fails, the system replaces it with an idle standby. Once restored, you can switch back manually, or the system will do so automatically if the standby fails.
