Introduction
This guide will explain how to change formats from CVBS to AVS on 2024-newer AVS multi-format cameras without dip switches. This method will only be compatible with :
- HDVR models (HDVR-MX1608-1U5MP-AI2, HDVR-MX0804-1U5MP-AI2, and HDVR-MX0402-1U5MP-AI2) on firmware 241012 or newer.
and: - HD-AVS mult-format cameras without dip switches (such as ICR-LRD-V2)
This setup assumes you have a combination of both units and have already used the HDVR OSD to switch the format from AVS to CVBS. You will also need a mouse and monitor plugged into the HDVR. These settings are available only on the local interface, not web UI.
Instructions
- Login to the HDVR local UI. Right-click to open the Main Menu.
- Navigate to Main Menu > Advanced Settings > Camera Configuration > PTZ > Channel Type.
Select the desired channel from the drop-down, then set the Control Mode to "HDAVS" and Protocol to"HDAVS3.0" - On the Live View section, select the camera, then double-click to display it in full-screen, then right-click and select "Pan/Tilt/Zoom" to open the PTZ Menu.
- Double-click the "-" Iris as shown below.
- The OSD Menu will appear.
- Navigate the Menu using the up/down directional buttons on the PTZ Menu to Video type (on some cameras, you may need to select Advanced to view the Format Type option, then use the left/right arrows to select CVI/AVS.
Click on "+" after selecting CVI/AVS. A prompt will appear to confirm. Click "+" again to confirm.The format will change to AVS. A prompt below will appear to confirm the settings have been changed.
