The Home tab is your at-a-glance view of your entire camera system. It's the first screen you see when you open the app.
Hero Camera
At the top of the Home tab is the hero camera — a large banner showing one camera prominently. The hero camera is chosen automatically based on activity:
- If a camera has an active motion event, it becomes the hero.
- If you've pinned a favorite camera, it stays as the hero regardless of events.
- Otherwise, the first connected camera is shown.
During smart events, the hero camera can display a live video overlay so you can see what's happening in real time without leaving the Home tab.
Quick Actions
Below the hero camera is a row of shortcut buttons for common tasks:
- Scan for Cameras — Run a new network scan to find cameras.
- Edit Site Map — Jump to Site Map editing.
- Events — Go to the Events tab.
- Settings — Open app settings.
Camera Rails
The rest of the Home tab is organized into horizontal scrollable rows (rails):
- Active Now — Cameras with ongoing events (appears only when events are active).
- Favorites — Cameras you've marked as favorites.
- All Cameras — Every connected camera on your network.
- Zone Rails — One row per zone you've created (e.g., "Front Door," "Warehouse").
Each camera card in a rail shows a thumbnail snapshot, the camera name, and a connection status indicator (green = connected, gray = offline). Select any camera card to open it in the full-screen player.
