The Site Map gives you a bird's-eye view of your property with cameras placed on your actual floor plan. It's a powerful way to understand camera coverage at a glance.
Accessing the Site Map
Navigate to the Map tab in the bottom navigation. If you haven't set up a Site Map yet, you'll see an option to get started.
You can also access Site Map editing from Settings > Site Map or the Edit Site Map quick action on the Home tab.
Adding a Background Image
A background image turns your map from a blank canvas into a real floor plan:
- Go to Settings > Site Map > Background.
- Upload an image — this can be a floor plan, blueprint, satellite photo, or any image that represents your property layout.
- The image fills the map canvas.
Tip: A simple hand-drawn floor plan or a screenshot from a mapping service works well. It doesn't need to be architecturally precise — it's a visual reference for camera placement.
Placing Cameras
See the Placing Cameras and FOV Cones article for detailed steps on positioning cameras on your map.
Zones
Zones let you define named areas on your map (e.g., "Lobby," "Parking Lot," "Back Door"). See the Zones article for details.
