If you need to start completely fresh, a factory reset wipes all app configuration and returns IC Realtime TV to its initial state.
What Gets Removed
A factory reset deletes:
- All discovered cameras and saved credentials
- Camera friendly names and custom ordering
- Zone definitions
- Site Map layout (camera positions, background image, zones)
- All app settings and preferences
- PIN lock configuration
- Cached thumbnails and snapshots
How to Factory Reset
- Go to Settings > System > Factory Reset.
- Confirm that you want to erase all data.
- The app resets and returns to the first-time setup wizard.
Before You Reset
- Export your configuration first if you want to preserve it. Use Settings > System > iCloud Sync > Export to iCloud to save a backup.
- A factory reset cannot be undone. Your cameras will need to be rediscovered and reconfigured.
When to Factory Reset
- The app is behaving unexpectedly after a major update.
- You want to transfer the Apple TV to a new location with different cameras.
- You're troubleshooting a persistent issue and have exhausted other options.
- You want to remove all saved credentials from the device.
