Zones

Zones let you define named areas on your Site Map and organize cameras by location. They help you group cameras logically — for example, all cameras covering the parking lot, or all cameras in a specific building.

Creating a Zone

1. Go to Settings > Site Map > Zones.
2. Select Add Zone.
3. Give the zone a name (e.g., "Front Entrance," "Warehouse Floor 2").
4. Optionally assign a color to help visually distinguish zones on the map.
5. Assign cameras to the zone.

How Zones Appear

• On the Site Map — Zones appear as labeled regions on your map canvas, helping you quickly identify different areas of your property.

• On the Home Tab — Each zone gets its own camera rail, so you can scroll through cameras grouped by location.

Editing and Deleting Zones

• To edit a zone's name, color, or camera assignments, go to Settings > Site Map > Zones and select the zone.
• To delete a zone, select it and choose Delete. Deleting a zone does not remove the cameras — they simply become unzoned.

Tips

• Zones are optional. If you have a small number of cameras, you may not need them.
• You can assign a camera to only one zone at a time.
• Zone names appear in the Home tab rails, so keep them short and descriptive.
