This article will cover setup and configuration of the Stream Box.
Required items needed are a Monitor, Mouse and Laptop
Components
Set-Up
Credentials:
To initialize and setup your streambox use the default credentials
username : admin
password : admin
- To change the credentials go to settings -> account manage -> modify password
Network:
- Click on Main Menu > Network
- The stream box will be on DHCP by default or can be enabled as shown below
- To assign a static IP uncheck the DHCP box
- The advanced tab will show port numbers such as TCP, HTTP as well as others
Date & Time
- To set the date, time and time zone navigate to General
Adding Cameras
- For optimal setup stream box and cameras will be on the same network
- If you are experiencing performance issue and cameras are added via connection from the streambox to the recorder move the cameras to the network and directly connect
- From the Live View page right-click
- Select Remote Device
- The most optimal setup is the cameras being on an external switch
- After selecting Remote Device you will be brought to camera configuration page (Shown in picture below)
- In the picture I have highlighted some key points
- Click the search button and if you are within the same network of the cameras they should populate
- On the bottom of the page you can click the filter box and it'll pull up different options
- The 3 dots signify all manufacturers or you could specify the manufacturer that you're solely trying to see
- Once you are ready to select your cameras you can click the box on the left hand side and then click add
- If you add the cameras and they show the status above or red status you can check the live view to verify the problem and troubleshoot accordingly
- Once you've properly troubleshooted you should see feed a green status
- While adding cameras you can change the channel by selecting advanced and selecting the channel you want a specific camera.
- Adding a recorder with multiple channels: This requires you to use Remote Channels. Edit the existing connection and change the Remote Channel to the camera you need, as shown in the pictures below
