Wifi cameras allow you to connect directly through any 2.4 GHz SSID around the camera instead of a physical hardline connection to the network.
Setup Instructions
- Before mounting the Wifi camera, connect it to the network using a network cable and a power supply.
- Using a computer, search for the cameras IP using our config tool or a 3rd party IP scanner.
- Once the IP is found, input the IP address into internet explorer and log in. (Default login is: Username: admin / Password: admin)
- Go to Settings > Network > Wifi and enable it
- When enabled select Search SSID in the top right, double click on the desired network SSID, and type in the password for the wifi.
- Status should go from unconnected to connected (might have to refresh at the bottom) and make your way to TCP/IP on the left.
- Switch the Ethernet card to wireless. Set the Network Mode to static and press the button "Set as Default" to make wireless the main connection.
- After that is all done, unplug the camera from the network and go to the static IP that you set on the camera.
- At this point, you may mount and add the camera to the recorder. For how to add a camera to a recorder, Click here.
