To enable basic audio for your IC Realtime cameras that come equipped with microphones. Make sure the settings are enabled on the recorder and the camera.
NVR Settings
Login to your recorder and access these settings by going to:
Advanced Settings -> Camera Configuration -> Video Stream -> Audio Settings
For basic audio to be enabled, simply check the box and click OK, then Apply in the bottom right corner.
This will enable audio to stream and record to your NVR. Please note, it does take a small amount of extra hard drive space. If you are concerned about hard drive space please refer to the hard drive calculator.
Camera Settings
We will also need to verify in the camera devices audio settings to make sure the device is using the correct hardware. Access the camera's LAN IP and login to its own Web Menu then go to:
- Camera -> Audio -> Attrtibute -> AudioIN Type.
In our modern cameras this will be located in:
-> Camera -> Audio
- LineIN will be used for 3rd party audio equipment that can be connected to the camera.
- While Mic is used for a camera's built in Microphone (If Equipped)
-
- Note: If you have ICHome devices added to your camera system please make sure they are registered to the recorder via Private instead of ONVIF for the best compatibility.
