This area is for setting up event alerts (notifications) from the added devices to the software.
Remember that any events for which you want to receive alerts should be configured and supported by the respective device.
Note: At this time, Intelligent Motion Detect snapshots do not function.
Setting Up Software Alerts
- On the Home Page or Shortcut menu, click on Alert Setup.
- The added device list will be shown on the left. You can expand the device tree to view channels on a recorder.
- Selecting a Recorder will display the Alarm relay options under External Alarm.
- Selecting a Camera or a channel in a recorder will display the Event options such as motion detection or IVS tripwire under Channel Event.
- Select a Camera or recorder, then the desired event type.
- Toggle the slider at the top to enable event tracking.
- Several options will be available for configuration:
- Notify:
- Alarm Sound: This will play a sound alert for the event that was triggered.
Note: This will function only if Event Sound is unchecked under the System settings. You can also configure the event and sound played for that event. If Event Sound is enabled, the Alarm Sound for all events will be "default.wav" - E-Map Twinkle: The appropriate camera will blink in the E-Map.
- Send Email: Sends an email notification. Email settings can be configured under System > Event > SMTP (Sends a plain text email notification with no attachments).
- Detail Pop-Up: This will enable a pop-up to appear when the event is triggered. Here, you can view the event footage, snapshot and live view, as well as set process result (handled or unhandled) and handling remark
Note: You can also view event recordings by clicking . - Local Record: View recordings from PC (If save recordings is enabled on IC Now)
- Device Record: View Recordings from the device's SD card or recorder.
- Real: View live stream.
- Save Recordings: Required if you want to view the events video clip (local record tab). Enabling this will record the event footage to the local PC. Go to System > Local path > Record Path to view or change the record path.
- Note: Storage capacity can be set under System > Event > Set Storage Limit
- Alarm Sound: This will play a sound alert for the event that was triggered.
- Link Video: Here, you can select specific channels to pop up in a separate window when the event is triggered. This is more for security guard monitoring purposes.
- Select the event that will be used to trigger the Link Video Pop-Up.
- Select Pop Up desired split. You can choose a single split by clicking the pencil icon.
- Select what camera(s) will load in each space.
- Notify:
Reference the image below for pop-up window.
- Alarm Output: Triggers the alarm output in the Recorder when the event is triggered. Choose a recorder and an alarm output, enable Auto Open, then input the desired duration. Click Save in the bottom right corner when finished.
- Arming Time: Sets the schedule when the Alert will be active
- When finished, click Save in the bottom right corner or you can copy the event settings to other devices under Copy To. When clicking Copy To, select the desired devices , then click OK.
Viewing Software Alerts
Event alerts can be viewed on the software by clicking on Alert menu in the Home Page or Shortcut menu or clicking the bell icon in the top right side of the software. Note that these alerts will be cleared once the software has been exited. They will still be accessible via the Client Log menu.
- You can filter the events using the Alarm Type and Device drop-down on the top portion of the screen.
- Clickingor double-clicking on an event opens the Process Window.
- If Save Recordings was enabled in the Alert Setup, you can view the recordings by clicking View Recording on the upper right side of the Process window and selecting the Recorder/ Channel.
- If Save Recordings was enabled in the Alert Setup, you can view the recordings by clicking View Recording on the upper right side of the Process window and selecting the Recorder/ Channel.
