Introduction
IC Now features an E-Map function, which allows users to place their cameras on a picture, such as an overhead map or blueprint of the cameras' location. They can then click on a camera to view the live video feed and playback or indicate event alerts.
Configuration
Before configuration, you will need to download an image for your e-map. This image is typically an overhead view (typically acquired by screenshot while using Google Maps) or a Floor Plan of the location.
- Open the IC Now software and click on Live from the main menu.
- Right-click on a Group, then select New Map.
- Create a name for the E-Map, then click to browse and select the E-Map image. Click Open once the image is selected to proceed.
- In the E-Map configuration section, The E-map will shown in the middle. Using the mouse scroll wheel, you can then zoom in and out of the E-Map. A mini-map will be shown in the bottom left, displaying the main E-Map view in relation to the rest of the map.
The device list will be displayed on the left. You can then drag and drop a camera or NVR Alarm input into a location on the map.
You can also adjust the camera viewing angle and location by moving the appropriate pins. - Once finished, click on to save and exit the E-Map configuration section. Other options in the E-Map configuration section include:
- : Add new E-Map to Site
- : Change Map Name or Image
- : Change Opacity of the camera Icons
Viewing the E-Map
Once set up, the E-Map can be accessed in the live view section. Double-clicking the E-Map or drag and dropping it into a window will display the E-map.
You can then click on any camera added to the E-Map to view that camera's live feed.
