IC Now: System Settings

System

The System section allows for software configuration such as date/time, light/ dark mode toggle, E-mail setup, and local file save path. Click Apply in the bottom left to save any changed settings.

• Basic Setting
  • Auto Check Time: Configures time synchronization for the software 
  • Auto start at boot: Enables IC Now to run upon PC startup
  • Language: Changes the software language.
  • Log save time: Select how many days the software will save log files.
  • Date Format: Changes the Month/ Day/ Year date format.
  • Time Format: Toggles between 12 and 24-hour time format.
  • Skin: Toggles between Light and Dark mode for the software. The image below shows dark mode enabled on the Home Page:
    
  • Close Prompt: Configures close behavior for the software. Select from exit software or minimize to the system tray.

• Monitor Setting
  • Default Stream type: Changes the live view default stream- Adaptive, Main or Sub. 
    • Self Adaptive will display Main Stream for 1-4 Split views, while displaying substream at higher split views.
  • Instant Replay Time: Sets how far back the instant replay will play back.
  • Local record Time: Sets how long recordings will be for PC storage.

• Device Setting
  • Auto login device: Enables devices to automatically connect, if able to.

• Event
  • SMTP: For Email notification Setup (see this link for SMTP/ Email Setup directions). See below for example.
    
  • Loop: Loops event Sound
  • Event Sound: If un-checked, this enables a custom sound prompt when an certain event is triggered in Alert Setup. If this is checked in, all event sounds will use default.wav
    
    
    • Event dropdown: You can select a channel event from the dropdown
      
      
      • Channel Events: include motion detect, IVS, Face Detect, etc. You can then configure a sound profile for each type of event on the dropdown to the right.
      • External Alarm: IPC/ Recorder physical alarm inputs
      • Device Event: Disk Error and Device Offline events. You can then configure a sound profile for each type of event on the dropdown to the right.
    • File Path: 
      • Click to browse for a sound file.
      • Clickto play the sound file.

• Local Path: Sets the file location where images and videos will be stored by the software.
  • Pic Path: Click to browse for a folder to store the images.
  • Record Path: Click to browse for a folder to store the video footage.
    
  • Set Storage Limits: When enabled you can set how much space you allow on the local PC for event recordings. Space is set by Gigabytes.
    
• Backup and Restore
  • Auto Backup: When enabled, you can set a time of the week and time to backup the software configuration.
  • Backup Path: Click to browse for a folder to store the backup file.
  • Manual Backup: Created a backup file.
  • Restore: Use an existing backup file to restore previous software settings.
