IC Now: Overview (Windows)

IC Now is IC Realtime's newest desktop viewing software. The software was developed based on current-generation hardware. Mileage may vary for legacy machines.

Device/ Channel Number Limitations
The IC Now software is designed with a limitation of 256 live (online) channels. This is based on the occupied channels of a recorder (ie, if the NVR is a 32-channel with only 15 cameras, it counts only the 15 cameras).

OS Support
The IC Now software is currently designed to work with PCs installed with Windows 10 & 11 operating systems. The software was not designed around virtualized instances, roaming profiles, or other server-based hosted operating systems.

While the release is slated for late 2024, Mac users can still use our Smart ICRSS v2 (with some limitations) available here.

3rd Party & Specialty Cameras Notice
The software has known limitations for 3rd party cameras and some specialty cameras. The software will not load a thumbnail for the device list view due to not supporting ICR’s standard snapshot protocol. For the device snapshots, you will need to use ICRealtime cameras.

Installation

1. Extract and open the IC Now install file. Proceed with checking in the software agreement checkboxes and clicking "Next"
   
2.  After selecting the install path and clicking Next, the software will install
   
3. You can then choose to select Run IC Now to open it immediately after clicking Finish (You may have to check in Software/ EULA prompts)
   

Main Menu

Icons:

• Toggle minimizing the shortcut Menu 
• Opens the Feeback link (for software feedback) in a web browser
• Opens the IC Realtime Help Center in a web browser
• Alert Section Shortcut
• Minimize IC Now
• /Full Screen/ Window mode toggle
• Close IC Now
  • The Close Prompt will open, where you can choose to Minimize the software to the system tray or close the program. You can also check a prompt not to display the close prompt.
    

Home Page

The Home page will display icons for the various menu options. These options are also available in the shortcut menu on the left.

Setting up your devices

On the Home Page or Shorcut Menu, click on Devices to add your devices.

Viewing Live View

Once you have added your devices, you can view them by clicking Live View.

Viewing Playback

You can view recorded footage from your devices under the Playback section.

Setting up Desktop Alerts

You can receive various event alerts from your added devices in the Alert Setup section.

Viewing Logs

You can also retrieve logged data from the desktop software as well as view previous event alerts.

Configuring System Settings

Software options and configuration can be set up under the System section.
