This article will cover how to set up a recording schedule through the local monitor of your recorder. We'll be covering legacy recorders, Firmware Version 4.0. If you have a legacy recorder V3.X or a newer recorder V4.0, you can find instructions with one of the links below:
- Recording Schedule: Legacy Recorders 3.X (Local Monitor)
- Recording Schedule: Modern NVRs V4.0 (Local Monitor)
ICRealtime recorders come defaulted to record continuously 24/7 and the hard drive is set to overwrite the oldest footage once the drive is full.
Here we'll cover setting up a recording schedule for motion/intelligent motion detection, but the same rules will apply to recording IVS rules such as trip wires and intrusion boxes. Whichever you choose, you'll need to ensure these are enabled and configured correctly in order for the recording schedule to function properly.
To set up Motion Detection, Intelligent Motion Detection, or IVS rules, see the following links:
- Basic Motion Detection / Video Detection
- Intelligent Motion Detection
- IVS Tripwire
- IVS Intrusion Zone
