IC Secure (Desktop) uses one interface for live view, reviewing footage, device management, and system settings.. This article explains the main areas of the desktop interface and what each area is used for.
Main Window Overview
The interface is divided into four primary areas.

| Main Toolbar | The horizontal bar across the top of the window. Use this area to switch between major views, including Live View, Search, E-Map, Device Management, and Settings. |
| Camera Tree Panel | The vertical panel on the left side of the window. This area lists connected cameras and substations organized by group. Cameras can be dragged from this panel into the view area. |
| View Area | The main area in the center of the window. This area changes based on the selected mode, such as Live View, Replay, or E-Map. |
| Replay Control Panel | A collapsible panel at the bottom of the window used for replay controls. This panel is closed by default. |
Main Toolbar
The toolbar provides quick access to the main IC Secure modes.

| Live View | Opens real-time camera monitoring with grid layouts. |
| Search | Opens the timeline replay interface for reviewing recorded video. |
| E-Map | Displays cameras placed on floor plan images. |
| Device Management | Allows you to add, remove, and configure cameras and substations. |
| Settings | Opens system settings, user management, storage, and network configuration. |
| Alarms | Opens active alarm events for review and management. |
Camera Tree Panel
The camera tree on the left side lists devices connected to the IC Secure server.
Camera groups appear as folders. Click the arrow next to a group to expand it and view individual cameras. Camera status icons indicate whether each camera is online, offline, or recording.
Substations appear as separate entries in the device tree. Expand a substation to view the cameras assigned to it.
Drag a camera from the tree into the view area to open its live feed.
Live View Area
In Live View mode, the center area displays camera streams in a grid layout.
Click the layout selector to choose a grid layout, such as 1x1, 2x2, 3x3, 4x4, or a custom layout. Double-click a camera tile to expand it to full screen. Double-click again to return to the grid.
Right-click a camera tile for options such as digital zoom, instant replay, snapshot, and stream switching. Drag cameras between tiles to rearrange the layout.
Replay Panel
When you switch to Replay mode, the view area changes to show recorded footage with a timeline.
The timeline bar at the bottom shows segments where recorded video is available. Use the replay controls to play, pause, fast-forward, rewind, or step through video frame by frame.
Select multiple cameras to synchronize footage at the same timestamp. Click any point on the timeline to jump to that time.
