Intelligent Motion Detect 2.0
Utilizing a new and refined algorithm, Intelligent Motion Detect 2.0 (iMD 2.0) aims to reduce false alerts and provide a better playback experience. In addition to Human/ Vehicle Recognition, iMD 2.0-equipped cameras also provide a longer detection distance, reduce false positives by animals, and detect target color information compared to the older version. All of these new refinements to our Intelligent Motion Detect enable a quick target search using our AI NVRs with Object Search.

Object Search
Some AI NVRs such as the NVR-EL16-2U32MP1 are equipped with Object Search. This feature works in conjunction with our IP cameras equipped with iMD 2.0. Object Search allows you to select an object during playback from any camera on the NVR and receive search results from all iMD 2.0 cameras with recordings of the object. Non-supported cameras will not produce search results.
While this feature is enabled by default, enabling AI by NVR will disable this feature.
To enable, login to the NVR then go to Main menu > Advanced Settings > Alert Center > Parameters > Smart Plan. Under Smart Plan, click on the Local Tab. Here, you can switch between Object Search or AI Mode (AI by NVR functions).
Performing Object Search
Object search is only available on the NVR local interface (monitor plugged into NVR's HDMI or VGA port)
- Login to the local GUI of the NVR. Go to Main Menu >Data Search > Playback
- Select any camera(s) and view the playback on a single split screen view.
- When you find an object to query, click on the Object Search Icon (

- After clicking on the icon, several boxes (green box indicates a face detected while the light blue box indicates a person) may appear around objects identified by the device's intelligence.
You can also use the mouse to create a custom box (red). You can click thenext to these boxes to perform an object search on the selected object.
- The search results* from all iMD 2.0 cameras will appear.
- Note: Please use iMD 2.0-supported cameras across all channels for consistent search result availability throughout the site. Non-supported cameras will not produce results.
