Disclaimer: The Paxton driver has not been updated for quite some time and is considered legacy. There may be compatibility problems with newer products. There is no additional support for these drivers.
IC Realtime can integrate with Paxton access control systems, giving you the ability to review footage of events right from the Paxton platform. This guide will help you get your IC Realtime cameras integrated with your Paxton Net2 system.
- IC Realtime requires you to install a driver before being able to integrate your camera system with Net2. The driver is included as an attachment at the end of this document. Follow the installation prompts, click next until wizard finishes, and then open the Net2 Configuration Utility. If the system flags it as unidentified, you can select more info and then run anyway.
- Skip this step if the Net2 Controller is already setup. Select the TCP/IP nodes tab within the Net Server Configuration Utility. The system should detect the Net2 device on the network. You can click the Detect button if no devices populate. Select the IP address configuration tab and set a valid static IP address or leave the system on DHCP. Once complete, press the Apply button and close the configuration utility.
- Open the Net2 Access Control software, then go to Options -> Camera Integration and click Add. Select Dahua DVR System. Fill out the fields under Connection details:
- Host Name - IP address of video recorder
- Port - HTTP port of video recorder
- User name - Username for video recorder
- Password - Password for video recorder
- The camera list will populate if all the above information is correct. You can click Detect if no cameras are on the list.
- After you add the camera to the software, you'll need to create a door. Select New door from the menu bar and fill out all fields. Proceed by clicking the Camera integration tab and selecting the check box next to the desired camera. Press apply once finished.
- You can test the connection by selecting Open door from the menu bar. When the door unlocks, Net2 creates a log within the Events menu. The icon that looks like a camera will show you a brief clip during the time the door was unlocked.
